Dream #13 —The Gambler
I can’t remember every detail about the dream. But you were there “blackface.”
It was an outside event where everyone was gambling.
You sat across from me, and we were betting against each other.
You matched my bet of $20.00.
I’m not a gambler, and I don’t know anything about it.
So I definitely didn’t know what game we were playing or how to play it.
After you matched my bet, you got up and left.
You never returned.
For some reason, I was expecting you to.
I don’t know where you went.
A white guy came and sat next to me, and I was like did I win?
He checked and was like, “No.”
A black woman security guard came and checked, and she was like, “Yeah.”
The white guy replied, “Apparently, I don’t know how to play.”
He took over my bets and played the game for me, I just put the money down.
It has to be a message because it’s recurring.
And it’s about you matching me in every way.
But you decided to not accept my path.
Which is fine because I don’t like you anyway.
So let’s close this chapter.
If you want me to leave you alone, you have to leave me alone.
